The Institute for Essential Services
Restoring Our Community Through Service

Our Mission
The Institute for Essential Services (TIES) aims to improve achievement gaps in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), workforce development training, and related areas of self-sufficiency for minorities and students from low-income families.

Our Work
We focus all of our efforts into five core areas of service: food programs, workforce development, holistic support services, financial literacy and technology.

Your Support
All of our work is funded by generous supporters like you. We are truly thankful for all donations received. No amount is too small.

Getting food to underserved children
The city of Philadelphia is known as the poorest of the top 10 most populous cities in the United States. One of the continued crises that exist in our city is hunger and a lack of food for our families. We are continually seeking opportunities to partner with organizations throughout our city in hopes to bring an end to this increasing epidemic.

we're all about
Helping our community get and stay employed
One way that we endeavor to close the gap on the economic disparities between those in our community and others, is by providing assistance and training for individuals who are looking for jobs and better jobs.
